In the city of Enschede:

Stores are open Dec 21-23 until 9 pm, and on Dec 24 & 31 until 5 pm.

By the Big Church in de Oude Markt, there is a giant Ferris wheel and an ice-skating rink, until Jan 9.

Dec 17-29, visit the circus festival in the Volkspark.

Finally, the city of Enschede reminds all bikers to turn on their lights, both back and front, for their own safety. Bicyclists without lights can be fined 14 euros for one missing light or 23 euros for both.
