International Student Advisory Board seeks new members

Last April SMIT launched the idea of an advisory board of international students who talk to the University about matters they encounter and would like to change or improve. For the 2004-2005 academic year, the board is looking for additional members. The board meets during the evening once every two months; discussion topics are open and the atmosphere is informal. The introduction concert on the Oude Markt in Enschede will be ushered in on Wednesday 27 August with live performances by Esmé, Hannah Mae, The Partysquad and Broederliefde. The introduction concert is free of charge for new students of Saxion, University of Twente and this year also ROC van Twente.

After endless consultation, the University Council agrees to the framework letter

After a long debate on two thorny issues, the University Council agreed to the ‘kaderbrief’, the UT's financial framework, on Wednesday. The discussion did not get bogged down on the finances themselves, but on something procedural and old sore from the council.
