The Student Counseling Office has set up a Personal Support Group for students who have difficulty adjusting to life in the Netherlands. People are kind but not always interested in your life and problems. E-mail and telephone is not enough to really be in touch with family and friends. And making new friends is not that easy. Evenings and weekends are very long. The study is perhaps not quite what was expected and teachers are very demanding.
Two psychologists are hoping to create space and time where students can talk and listen to each other about their experiences.
The meetings will take place on Friday morning and they will be in English.
Call 4892035 if you are interested or visit the Red Desk, Bastille. At first each student has an individual meeting with a psychologist to see if the Personal Support Group is what is needed.
