Vinex Productions premieres six new films in this second edition of Kijkshock. Sjeng Schupp does the animation; Michiel van Dijk composes the music. The program of Kijkshock 2 consists of a number of short contemporary original animated films set to live music. A group of five musicians will accompany the films.

De Wereldband: Lekker Warm

De Wereldband, the winner of the 2005-2006 Broodje Culture Audience Prize returns to the UT for an encore performance. Bringing with them instruments that span the world - viola, guitar, xun, banjo, mandolin, to name just a few - the group will delight the UT audience with music from Ireland, Spain, Surinam, Mexico…

Minister over cum laude-keuze UT: ‘Heb geen bemoeienis’

Onderwijsminister Gouke Moes bemoeit zich niet met de keuze van de UT om cum laude promoveren af te schaffen. Dat zegt hij in antwoord op recent gestelde Kamervragen. Wel staat hij achter de zoektocht van de UT naar ‘een andere manier van waarderen’.

Elf opleidingen beperken instroom Engelstalige ‘trajecten’

Elf bacheloropleidingen gaan komend jaar het aantal eerstejaarsstudenten in hun Engelstalige traject maximeren. Zo willen ze de omstreden internationalisering van het hoger onderwijs in goede banen leiden.

De Europese Commissie wil de wooncrisis aanpakken, ook voor studenten. Maar, waarschuwt hoogleraar huisvesting Peter Boelhouwer, ‘echte oplossingen vinden we in Nederland zelf’.

Verenigd Koninkrijk gaat weer deelnemen aan Erasmus+

Het Verenigd Koninkrijk gaat vanaf januari 2027 weer aanhaken bij het Europese uitwisselingsprogramma Erasmus+. De Britten moeten zo’n 650 miljoen euro betalen om mee te kunnen doen.
