Holiday break: a time to reflect

| Redactie

Roving reporters roamed the campus last Friday to find out what some students plan to do over the holiday break. Obviously not everyone is same, and the responses we received to three simple questions only serves to prove that the University of Twente houses a richly diverse international community.

Gearing-up for the holiday break can mean for some the ritual act of packing suitcases, boarding a plane and traveling great distances to be with loved ones. As the old Japanese proverb wisely states, `Who travels for love finds a thousand miles not longer than one.'

However, other UT students that we interviewed have chosen instead for something different than a long journey home, hunkering-down in Twente to study, visit local attractions or connect with friends.

Wherever you may find yourself this holiday break- whether it be around a table of delicious food or watching the night sky light-up with fireworks or perhaps even stealing a quiet moment to contemplate the year gone by- may your journey be comprised of much joy and happiness. We hope you enjoy this holiday edition.
