Teamlid Daan van Haren (communicatie) blikt namens het studententeam vooruit op de World Solar Challenge, die aanstaande zondag van start gaat in het Australische Darwin.

Lef, daar draait het om bij Solar Team Twente

De coronapandemie zette een streep door de vorige editie, maar dit jaar reist het Solar Team Twente weer af naar Australië voor de World Solar Challenge, het wereldkampioenschap zonneracen. Het team, dat dit jaar haar twintigjarig jubileum viert, wil met ‘revolutionaire’ batterijtechnologie aan de start verschijnen. ‘Het wordt een race tegen de klok of we het halen.’

Guts, that’s what it’s all about at Solar Team Twente

The previous edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year, Solar Team Twente will once again travel to Australia to compete in the World Solar Challenge, the world championship of solar-powered cars . Solar Team Twente pakt eindoverwinning in Marokko

Het Solar Team Twente mag zich de zonnekoning van Marokko noemen. Het Twentse team gaf de leiding in het algemeen klassement van de Solar Challenge Morocco vandaag, tijdens de vijfde en laatste etappe van de zonnerace door de Afrikaanse Sahara, niet meer uit handen. ‘Dit is waar we jarenlang naar toe hebben gewerkt.’
