Diwali, also commonly known as the festival of lights, is one of the largest and most important festivals in India. It celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. To mark this auspicious day, a Diwali night was held on Friday at the UT. This event, organized by the Indian Student Association, featured cultural performances showcased in Vrijhof and a DJ night in Bastille.
The Indian Student Association (ISA) hosted a Diwali celebration in the Bastille building last Friday. Around 200 attendees enjoyed Indian food while watching two hours of live performances, including singing, dances, stand-up comedy and even a fashion show.
