Scientists from the University of Twente have developed a more efficient, fast and precise method to produce so-called microparticles. ‘This opens many doors in different scientific and industrial fields.’
A Rubicon grant of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) will enable UT scientist dr. Claas Willem Visser to do research at Harvard University for a period of two years. The postdoc from Detlef Lohse’s Physics of Fluids group (MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology) will investigate 3D printing techniques for other materials than the common plastics. An exciting step will be 3D printing of living cells.
