Learn high-tech marketing at UT and in Finland

| Michaela Nesvarova

Would you like to spend half of your Master’s studies at the UT and half in Finland? Now you have the chance. The Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland and the University of Twente have designed a new Master Double Degree in International Marketing Management (MIMM).

This two years long double program will start in September 2017. It is available to students of Business Administration that wish to deepen and broaden their knowledge of international strategic marketing management.

High-tech marketing, internationalization and digitalization

‘This new double degree is based on a highly complementary program, which combines the best courses of both universities,’ says UT researcher Raymond Loohuis, one of the main coordinators of MIMM. ‘The program will specifically address topics of high-tech marketing, internationalization and digitalization. It is ideal for students who want to pursue international careers in larger companies.’

No overlap

Interested students will be able to start in September. After one semester at the UT, they will continue their studies at the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT). ‘It’s important to mention that students will still be able to select courses,’ continues Loohuis. ‘The courses they will follow at LUT will then be complementary. There will be absolutely no overlap.’

‘Since two years ago, our university and LUT offer a Master Double Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management. This program has been evaluated well and laid groundwork for further collaboration,’ says Loohuis. ‘I’m very glad that we now also offer a two years Master’s program in this discipline and can even better compete with other institutes.’
