Publicity stunt at opening

Labor Unions will seize the Opening of the Academic Year at the Muziekcentrum in Enschede on 6 September to campaign for a new collective labor agreement for university staff. Members of the joint unions participating in the local consultation or OPUT (Overlegorgaan Personeelszaken UT) will dress as professors and hand out flyers to explain the need for a new collective labor agreement. The publicity stunt may be a means of pressure which comes after the union suspended talks before the summer break over disputes about job security and maintaining a cost of living adjustment.
