The preparations for the OpenDayPlus at May 24, for which all UT-alumni have also been invited, are progressing steadily. A great deal of attention is paid to safety and security. UT-security will deploy nine more people. The new UT-building Het Capitool, off campus, will not be opened during the day as, according to the organisation, it will be impossible to monitor.
Radio Enschede FM will be broadcasting a talkshow with live reports from the TheatercafÚ the entire day. In the Agora the national engineers' association KIVI will organise a science quiz.
The different faculties are still brainstorming about the best way to show their activities to the region. For pop lovers the open air concert of the Dutch band Blof on the Carillon Field will undoubtedly be the highlight of the day.
