Former residents from the TWRC-building have moved to their new offices. 'I am glad to have a space to receive students in again, meeting in the canteen is not really practical.' Stans Drossaert, lecturer at Communication Studies and Psychology, is unpacking boxes in her room at Institutenweg 1. Much of the contents still smells of smoke and looks damaged, but she and her colleagues are happy to have stuff to unpack.

The former canteen manager of the CT-canteen is happy to keep her job albeit in a different building, but feels that it is a pity that the canteens in the CT- and TO-buildings have been closed. In addition, the EL/TN-canteen is only open for a limited amount of time, with a reduced selection and will close when the Bastille's catering facilities are ready. The EL-study society Scintilla has already collected 300 signatures to protest the closure.

The new faculty Science & Technology (a merger of Chemical Technology and Applied Physics) is readying a new faculty council. Students can choose from among twelve students for the seven available seats. Employees do not need to vote, as only five candidates applied, they will automatically get a seat on the council, and two seats remain vacant.

The university council, the participation body at the highest level, has a new party. The three parties, KPS, Cabaal, and UTemp, whose collaboration gave them half the available eighteen seats in last year's elections, have merged to form the Campus Coalition.
