The Musica Silvestra Orkest (MSO) is the student symphonic orchestra in Enschede, comprised of 50 enthusiastic musicians. The Musica Silvestra Orkest (MSO) is the student symphonic orchestra in Enschede, comprised of 50 enthusiastic musicians. Every year, the MSO rehearse for two different concerts with a wide repertoire of symphonies, overtures and film music.

MSO concerts are preformed on campus and in many cities in the Netherlands. The group travels internationally with past concerts being heard in Belgium, Italy, Scotland and Hungary. MSO went to the south of France, where they preformed in Olonzac and Beziers.

Interested in sharing your musical skills? MSO rehearses every Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 10:15pm in the Agora of the Vrijhof.

Hoe gaat het kabinet de financiering van het hoger onderwijs op de schop nemen? Veertien studentenvakbonden vrezen dat de vrije studiekeuze en de academische vrijheid op het spel staan.

Minder budget en mankracht voor duurzaamheid UT

Alle duurzaamheidsdoelen ten spijt moet het Sustainability, Energy & Environment-team (SEE) het in 2025 met vier parttime medewerkers minder en 10% minder budget zien te rooien. En dat betekent vooral ‘keuzes maken in wat we nog wel oppakken.’

Less budget and fewer staff for UT sustainability efforts

Despite the university’s ambitious sustainability goals, the Sustainability, Energy & Environment (SEE) team at the University of Twente will have to manage with four fewer part-time staff members and a 10% budget cut in 2025. This means ‘Making tough choices about what we can still take on.’
