Workshop: getting and giving criticism

`To criticize other people is okay, but if I am criticized I totally block.' Others experience sleepless nights when they have to criticize other people. Critique on a scientific article stimulates the academic discussion, but critique on a personal basis? To address these issues, the Female Faculty Network Twente will hold a workshop `Getting and giving criticism.'

The questions `How to criticize effectively?' and `How can I handle criticism in a positive way?' are the key questions in this workshop. Exercises will help to get acquainted with the `do's and don'ts' in getting and giving criticism.

The trainer for this workshop is Franke Jongsma, educational consultant at N.V. Kema in Arnhem. This workshop has been given several times in co-operation with Studium Generale within the training program of the Student Union.
