NewsUT wil NVAO-accreditatie voor omstreden master Public Management
De UT wil de deeltijdmaster Public Management laten keuren door de Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie. Dat vooruitlopend op het oordeel van de Onderwijsinspectie, die de UT erop wees dat de opleiding mogelijk niet goed geaccrediteerd is.

NewsUT wants NVAO accreditation for controversial Master's in Public Management
The UT wants to have the part-time Master's in Public Management certified by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). This is in anticipation of the verdict of the Education Inspectorate, which pointed out to the UT that the programme may not be properly accredited.

De universiteitsraad uitte woensdagochtend grote bezorgdheid over de begroting van 2024. De raad ziet weerstand in de organisatie en heeft sterke twijfels over de haalbaarheid van de begroting. Toch stemde de raad na een stroperig overleg unaniem in. Op 1 maart moet er meer financiële duidelijkheid zijn vanuit alle geledingen van de UT.

NewsUniversity Council approves budget despite concerns
The University Council expressed strong concerns about the 2024 budget on Wednesday morning. The council sees resistance in the organisation and has strong doubts about the feasibility of the budget cuts. Nevertheless, the council voted unanimously after a drawn-out discussion. On 1 March, there should be more financial clarity from all ranks and levels of the UT.

In navolging van de Young Academy Twente pleit ook de universiteitsraad voor het uitbreiden van het promotierecht voor universitair (hoofd)docenten. Rector Tom Veldkamp gaat echter niet zomaar overstag, maar overweegt komend jaar wel een beleidswijziging in het College van Promoties.
