Photographer exhibits work at UT
From March 3 - 24, the work of photographer, Agnes Booijink, is on display in the Vrijhof. Booijink, a native of Vasse and longtime resident of Hengelo, endured an unusually slow start in becoming a professional photographer. In high school, she was torn between careers related to sports or the creative arts. Out of sheer practicality, she halfheartedly followed training to become an X-ray technician. Then, in 1993, she changed gears completely and enrolled in the art academy AKI - now located on the UT campus - to pursue a career in fashion design. There, however, she discovered photography. Eureka! She knew immediately that she had found her medium.
