Fifteen family doctors in the Enschede region will be travelling with a PDA, a Personal Digital Assistant, in the coming weeks on weekend and night shifts. This pocket computer, developed by the Telematica Instituut gives access to electronic patient files, which enables a physician to retrieve important medical background information on site, and provide a diagnosis more quickly.
