‘Met de meerderheid van de eerstejaars gaat het niet slecht’
Eerstejaars voelen zich thuis en zijn geëngageerd en gemotiveerd, maar de meerderheid kampt met milde tot gemiddelde stress-, angst- of depressieklachten. Dat blijkt uit onderzoek van de faculteit BMS naar het welzijn van eerstejaars in crisistijd. Projectleider Maaike Endedijk, werkzaam bij de vakgroep onderwijskunde, licht de resultaten toe.

'The majority of first-year students are not doing too badly'
Freshmen feel at home and are engaged and motivated, but the majority suffers from mild to moderate stress, anxiety or depression. This has emerged from research conducted by the BMS faculty into the well-being of first-year students in times of crisis. Project leader Maaike Endedijk, who works in the department of Educational Science, explains the results.
