Tweehonderd flexwoningen aan de Witbreuksweg moeten de acute woningnood voor UT-studenten grotendeels oplossen. In de loop van oktober krijgen de wooncontainers daar hun plek. Het plaatsen van studenten gebeurt op basis van urgentie, reisafstand en – als de vraag het aanbod overstijgt – loting.

Two hundred flex homes on the Witbreuksweg should largely solve the acute housing shortage for UT students. The housing containers will be placed there in the course of October. Students will be assigned to their accommodation on the basis of urgency, travel distance and - if demand exceeds supply - by means of lottery.

NewsUT’ers krijgen online les in cyberveiligheid
Vanwege ‘constante en reële dreiging’ van cybercriminelen, komt ICT-dienst LISA met een online leeromgeving over cybersecurity voor studenten en -medewerkers. Het doel is tweeledig: de dienst hoopt zowel de individuele UT’er als de gehele organisatie beter te wapenen tegen aanvallen.

NewsUT community receives online lessons in cyber security
Due to the 'constant and real threat' from cybercriminals, ICT service department LISA is launching an online learning environment on cyber security for students and staff. The aim is twofold: the department hopes to better arm both the individual UT employee and the entire organisation against attacks.

Vijf internationale studenten stapten deze week voor het eerst op de fiets. Leden van wielervereniging Klein Verzet gaven tips en hielpen ze overeind te blijven. Het project Biking for Beginners kreeg eerder dit jaar steun uit het Incentive Fund.

News'The first time on a bicycle, that's strange'
Five international students got on their bikes for the first time this week. Members of cycling association Klein Verzet gave them tips and helped them to stay upright. The Biking for Beginners project received support from the Incentive Fund earlier this year.
