'Geen nieuw protocol flatfeest'

Collegelid Kees van Ast liet vanmorgen in de universiteitsraad weten dat er ‘geen nieuw protocol’ is ontwikkeld voor feesten en activiteiten op de campus. Hij reageert daarmee op schriftelijke vragen van UReka, nadat twee weken een geleden een storm van kritiek losbarstte op de bekendmaking van nieuwe regels voor het organiseren van feestjes op de campus.

Conflict over sturing TOM loopt op

De universiteitsraad heeft zich vanmorgen opnieuw uitgesproken tegen een nieuwe onderwijsorganisatie waarbij elk cluster van opleidingen een onderwijsdirecteur krijgt. Rector magnificus Ed Brinksma reageerde ‘ernstig teleurgesteld’.

Power to the students!

To improve the quality of their assistance to foreign students, the Dutch National Students' Union is currently carrying out a survey among international students in the Netherlands. In doing so, the organization aims to learn more “about the experiences of international students" and to identify potential "differences in information provision among Dutch universities" to internationals. Join IAESTE

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE ) has now also touched soil in Enschede. IAESTE the Netherlands aims to connect technical students to tech companies, and in doing so enables students from all over the world to do an internship in the Netherlands. In September 2012, Utrecht University awarded them with the Student Prize for Extraordinary Achievements. Trainees are paid for their efforts and thanks to the organization’s international character, internships in countries other than Holland are also an option.
