Ook de UT wil het fenomeen promotiestudent gaan invoeren. Volgens het CvB past het huidige stelsel van als werknemers betaalde promovendi niet altijd bij de internationale situatie. Promovendinetwerk P-NUT voorziet een achteruitgang in kwaliteit.
