Housing of internationals at the UT

The university is currently working on new plans to guarantee housing for international students. Student Union (SU) therefore decided to organize a housing forum, where UT students could discuss these new plans.

Pre-U is going international

Pre-U, a UT program for primary and secondary school pupils, is no longer aimed only at Dutch students. From now on, The Pre-University wants to include more and more international pupils in its activities and it is starting by organizing a German-Dutch seminar this week.

The UT has started its India Office

The University of Twente has expanded its network of international partners, which now includes IRCAD and IHU, top French institutes dedicated to innovative surgery. Today, on the 8th of March 2016, all involved parties attended a kick-off meeting at the UT to celebrate this new collaboration in the fields of education and research.

Issues with international housing

Finding a suitable accommodation near the UT is often problematic for international students. They usually don´t speak Dutch, they come from different continents and completely different cultures and they often need to travel. To find a person, who is willing to rent to them, is therefore extremely difficult. According to students, this situation is not made easier by the university, which provides internationals with maximum of one year of accommodation.
