Day for PhD students
The trade union ABVAKABO FNV is organizing the Day of the Promovendus, a day for PhD students, on Friday, November 24, in association with the Promovendi Netwerk Nederland (PhD Network Netherlands). The meeting is meant to support PhD students in the preparation of their post-doctoral career. PhD's who have become entrepreneurs, consultants or officials will share their experiences and give tips. Other speakers are experts in the field of AIO supervision and labor agreements. The chairman of the Promovendi Netwerk Nederland will give his vision on careers in science. There are workshops (with actors) about negotiating and career training. Participants will learn how to network and how best to sell their research and ideas. The Day of the Promovendus will take place in Mammoni, Mariaplaats 14 in Utrecht. Participation costs 15 euros.
