De UT peilt momenteel of medewerkers interesse hebben om te werken met een alternatief voor de software van Microsoft. Via deze pilot zoekt de UT samen met ICT-organisatie SURF uit of Nextcloud een volwaardig alternatief kan zijn voor de zogeheten ‘big tech’.

UT is currently gauging whether staff members are interested in working with an alternative to Microsoft software. Through this pilot, UT and ICT organisation SURF aim to determine whether Nextcloud can serve as a full-fledged alternative to so-called ‘big tech’.

NewsNew ‘fee’ for external PhD candidates
PhD candidates who pursue a doctorate at UT but are not employed by the university will be charged an annual fee of at least three thousand euros from 1 April onwards, that cannot be waived. The Executive Board decided this today.
