No more medical consultations
The student health service on campus, run by two nurses in the past few years, has finally been terminated. The service will be cancelled on January 1, 2006. This is the direct result of the new health care bill, Coordinator Monique Troost explains. `The previous health care bill permitted visiting a family doctor in Enschede, even if you were still registered with a family doctor in your parents' town. In the new system, people are limited to the family doctor they are registered with, except for emergencies.' All students currently registered with the UT health service will be informed about the new situation and information on which general practitioner they may register with.
