A feast of luscious international dishes signalled the start of the Culture Festival, a day filled with activities to celebrate the international diversity at the University of Twente.
After the Bachelor students started their Kick-In last week, the new master students have followed suit on Monday. 537 potential masters applied for the introduction, an increase of 135 applications compared to last year.

The Student Union (SU) has noted there is a lack of student rooms on campus. The SU feels that the typically Dutch phenomenon of ‘hospiteren’ – where once you have found a room, you meet up with your prospective housemates to see if you would be a good fit for the house – is particularly complex for international students, yet the SU feels it would be a bad idea to abolish it altogether.
