UT Professor Nauta to become Simon Stevin Meester

Professor Bram Nauta will receive the Simon Stevin Meester 2014 title, the highest award for technical scientific research in the Netherlands. The prize, which is presented by the STW Technology Foundation, consists of a 500,000 euro grant, to be used for research purposes.

UT-hoogleraar Bram Nauta krijgt van technologiestichting STW de titel Simon Stevin Meester 2014, de hoogste onderscheiding voor technisch-wetenschappelijk onderzoek in Nederland. De prijs bestaat uit 500 duizend euro, te besteden aan onderzoek.

Nauta komt in Diesrede op voor micro-elektronica

Hoewel de Dies Natalis bol staat van tradities, wilde hoogleraar Bram Nauta het dit jaar toch een beetje anders doen. In zijn betoog nam hij het op voor micro-elektronica en chips en zette hij vraagtekens bij de manier waarop we tegen nano aankijken.
