Hij begeleidde vijf keer euthanasie en leerde van een zaak voor het medisch tuchtcollege. Jansen leidt coassistenten en physician assistants op.

Italianen weten wel raad met ceremonies. Rome vormde afgelopen week vrijdag het toneel voor de uitreiking van de Balzan Prijs aan UT-universiteitshoogleraar Detlef Lohse. Hij kreeg de prestigieuze prijs uit handen van de president van de Italiaanse republiek.
